Rosalyn comes with over ten years of experience working as a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant both in-hospital on the Labour and Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, as well as in the community through teaching Childbirth Education Classes and offering families individualized infant feeding support. Her passion has always been firmly rooted in walking alongside families as they navigate one of life’s most powerful transitions – bringing their baby into the world.
Rosalyn holds the belief that education and support for families should go beyond just regurgitating facts—it should nurture maternal and parental intuition, a woman’s trust in her body and ability to nourish and care for her baby(ies) in the ways that feel right for her and her family.
Over the years, Rosalyn has supported hundreds of families in labour, birth and the postpartum period which has enabled her to have an in-depth understanding of the unique, individualized support and care that each family requires based on their health history, birth experience and unique goals of how they wish to feed their baby(ies). Whether partaking in one of her Childbirth Education Classes or working with her one on one in navigating concerns with milk supply, breast and/or bottle feeding, Rosalyn meets family’s where they’re at and supports them with practices grounded in integrative, holistic care that honour their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
In addition to her current certifications, Rosalyn is deepening her practice through a year-long Holistic Lactation Consultant Certification program which includes a ten-day intensive residency in Connecticut in July of 2025. This advanced training will allow her to expand her offerings to further support families experiencing challenges in feeding their baby(ies) including but not limited to navigating allergies and sensitivities, oral ties, breast and/or bottle refusal, and low milk supply.
We support and heal babies, by supporting and healing their mothers.
Knowing the interconnectedness of a mothers health and well-being and how it is expressed through her baby(ies), Rosalyn believes wholeheartedly in practicing collaboratively to ensure all the needs of the dyad can be met. This often means working alongside naturopathic doctors, physiotherapists, mental health therapists, speech language pathologists, bodywork practitioners, or whomever else an individual woman, infant or family would benefit from seeing.
From conception, to birth, and to nourishing your baby, Rosalyn is here to support you in creating the experience that is right for you—because your experience matters and you deserve to not just survive but to thrive in parenthood.
About Rosalyn:
Favourite food: Burgers or pizza made from scratch at home.
Favourite book: Life lately has been a lot of books for continuing education but I can always pick up or listen to Marianne Williamson's, A Return to Love.
Favourite song and/or artist: A country music artist lover at heart, there's few that do not put a pep in my step.
Favourite way to take care of herself: Getting outside without technology -- nothing fancy just fresh air, sunshine and simple movement, even if that comes in the form of everyday checking/feeding animals. In the summer, on any given day, you can find her barefoot in the garden.
Favourite season and why: Summer -- nothing trumps the long, sunny days on our ranch, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and the presence and liveliness of the plants and animals.
