Oksana graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2022. She started her career as a Behaviour Therapist with Autism Services of Saskatoon. In this role, Oksana worked with young children with ASD in a Behavioural Therapy setting. Oksana then took a position with Family Service Saskatoon as a Child and Youth Counsellor. She worked with children and youth ages 6-17 and provided counselling sessions within the Saskatoon Community.

Oksana has taken many different trainings. She is certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Mental Health First Aid, and Trauma-Informed Care. She also has taken Kids Mental Health, Brain Story, and Therapeutic Play training. Oksana is dedicated to keeping up with new trainings and certifications to help best support her young clients.

Oksana has a passion for working with children and youth. This passion started at a young age, following her mother’s passion for working with children, but in a daycare setting. She loves making connections, building rapport, and always meeting clients where they are at in their therapeutic journey. Oksana will integrate aspects of Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Strength-Based Therapy. She always creates safe, comfortable, and free-of-judgment space for her young clients. Oksana makes sure her counselling space is filled with a variety of toys, games, colouring/art material, and some comfy seating.

When she is not working in the office, you can find Oksana at the dog park with her puppy, Mylo, spending time with her friends and family, or drinking a delicious latte at a local coffee shop. If she ever needs a pick me up after a long day, you can find Oksana watching her favourite TV show Friends or any reality TV show filled with drama.
